Finishing & embellishment
The last
two per cent
A carton is finished long before it is beautiful. Foil, emboss, spot UV and stock selection are the decisions that separate packaging a customer discards from packaging a customer keeps.
Try it
Build a specification
Choose a stock, then lay finishes onto it. Foils are mutually exclusive — one foil station, one colour per pass. Everything else combines. When it looks right, send the specification straight to our estimator.
On-screen simulation only. Foil lay, emboss depth and UV gloss behave differently on every substrate — we send a physical draw-down before any run is committed.
The techniques
What each one is actually for
Foil Stamping
Metallic leaf laid under heat and pressure. Gold, silver, red and custom pigments. Reads as value instantly — which is why it belongs on the mark, not the body copy.
In-Line Cold Foil
Applied on the TurFlex line without heat. Lower carbon, faster, and it prints metallic areas in register with the rest of the artwork.
Emboss & Deboss
A sculpted brass die raises or recesses the sheet. No ink at all. The only finish a customer registers with their hands before their eyes.
Spot UV
Gloss varnish on selected areas over a matte laminate. Invisible head-on, obvious at an angle. Best used once per surface.
Lamination
Matte, gloss and soft-touch films. Matte over a dark ground plus spot UV is the most reliable premium combination in packaging.
Specialty Stocks
Ivory boards, textured and laid papers, black-dyed board, kraft. The stock decides how every finish above will behave.

We print our own profile this way
Tur's company profile is produced in-house on these presses — blind emboss, three foils, spot UV over matte and four specialty stocks bound into one document, with original tags from our archive mounted into debossed wells.
It is the only capability statement we know of that a buyer can verify by touch. Ask for a copy and we will post one.

Send us the specification
A die-line, a sample, a photograph of something you want matched — or just the brief. We will tell you what it takes to make, what it will cost, and when it can ship.
